Express and Economy Services
- ALL domestic and international Express or Economy shipments are weighed and measured upon arrival at the local collection depot. The price charged will reflect the actual weight and volume shipped and may differ from the initial quotation or estimate given at the time of booking. Any pricing adjustments made to an invoice will be automatic and processed without notice. This adjustment may occur up to 4 weeks after the shipment has been completed. This can include additional charges for service premiums not requested at the time of booking but requested on the Air Waybill, delivery to Remote Areas, over-sized or over-weight pieces, customs or duties, storage or additional handling charges.
- Changes to the destination address for any domestic and international Express or Economy shipments are unavailable once a shipment has been collected.
- Address changes prior to a collection the require issuing of a new address label will incur a charge of £8 + VAT.
- Cancellations made to any domestic and international Express or Economy shipments are subject to a minimum charge of £15 + UK VAT providing they are cancelled no later than 17:00 hrs the working day prior to the booked collection date.
- Any domestic and international Express or Economy shipment cancelled and not released to the collection driver/vehicle on the day of the booked collection date will incur a charge of 50% of the original price + UK VAT (subject to a £15 + UK VAT minimum) as advised at the time of booking.
Same Day, Direct Drive, On-Board Courier and other Special Services
- Changes for any domestic or international Same Day or Direct Drive Service as well as domestic or international On-board Courier and any other Special Service shipments are permitted at any time but are subject to additional charges in order to complete the shipment. This can include additional transport charges, air fares, fuel surcharges, bridge or road tolls, wait/loading time, etc.
- Cancellations made to domestic or international Same Day or Direct Drive Service as well as domestic or international On-board Courier and any other Special Service shipment after a vehicle or courier has been dispatched will incur the full charge quoted or estimated at the time of booking including transport charges, air fares, fuel surcharges, bridge or road tolls, wait/loading time, etc. This includes cancellations made at the collection point at the time of driver arrival.
- Cancellations made to any domestic or international Same Day or Direct Drive Service as well as domestic or international On-board Courier and any other Special Service shipment prior to a vehicle or courier being dispatched will incur a charge of 50% of the original quote or estimate plus charges for any pre-paid service incurred by SpeedLink to complete the shipment such as ferry or sea crossings, air fares, parking or ground transportation, driver accommodation, Visa processing fees or any additional charges incurred by SpeedLink on the shippers behalf in order to complete the shipment that cannot be cancelled and refunded to the favour of SpeedLink Transport Limited.
